A tattered note scrawled in blood arrives at the guild house of Ravens of War. It reads:

Greetings you Ravens of War,
I am Shreema. My unhallowed band of killers fought alongside many of yours recently. I was impressed to see your skill. Because of that I wish to address to you a matter of concern. I intercepted a note from the king of the stunties. Rest assured the messanger was killed, the letter rests safely with me. But I come bringing warning. The letter was encrypted so I had my people work long and hard to decode it. Once translated I learned of something that will be coming by week's end. Many reenforcements will be making their way to Tharik Redaxe in the dwarven lands. I suspect from other findings in the letter that the dwarves will nae be the only ones to recieve such boost to their troops. Be warned! I say, plan an attack on their battlegrounds before they can order out their troops. I have arranged that Last Requiem join together on the 19th day of the 9th month at 8:00pm by the count of the western clock(PDT) to attack them(Scenarios). I am inclosing the translation of the note I intercepted. Frank and I wish you luck.

~Shreema
Warlord of Last Requiem

Translated note:

Tharik Redaxe,

This letter is to inform you that you will be recieving new oathbearers within the weeks end. We expect many to be making their way to you. Seems there are many wanting to join us in the battle. And it is not just us longbeards. Seems our fellow allies in the fight against the forces of destruction will be gaining a surplus of new recruits. We expect this to be a great advantage for us against the Greenskins. They will have what is coming to them for sullying the memories of our ancestores. Them and the rest of their mutated companions. The dark skins and corrupted ones will fall alongside them. We will get our precious Eight Peaks into dwarf hands once again. Send them on their way quickly. This is the most promising batch yet.

~ King Grudgebearer

Welcome, Shreema! We look forward to fighting with you and yours on the field.

I propose that we get together for some large-scale Tier 2 RvR. Rather than scenarios, keep actions are the most inclusive and hopefully will be fun for many.

I'll plan to start things up around 9:30pm Eastern on Friday, 9/19. We can do the realm tour, depending on what the opposition looks like.

What level is Tier 2 generally?

If you are at least level 10, then you will be bolstered to level 18. You chicken at 22. So anyone 10-21 would be welcome for this event.

Ah, cool. Bolstering increases just hitpoints, or damage output as well? Resists?

Bolster increases your Stats, all around on an average scale of what you have and if you stayed that way consitently to the max bolster lvl which includes Dmg delves, heal value, HP, Armor, resists, defensive abilities.. ect

That is pretty cool. What was the philosophy behind it? Anti-gank or to equal the playing field as much as possible?

The tiers are just soooooo wide... they had to do something so that people could keep RvR'ing.

Even playing field as much as possible. The chicken feature would be anti-gank.

Hmmm... Am I the only one that was initially tickled that Shreema went to the trouble to craft a really nice roleplay piece and then subsequently disappointed that no one else bothered to respond in kind? I know game mechanics and event planning require real-world discussions, but a little RP up front goes a long way toward supporting the RP efforts of others and making communication more enjoyable for everyone. I'm not a big RPer myself, but I sure appreciate the extra fun and flavor it adds to the game. I'm not sure if Ravens of War is even an RP guild, but since we're playing on an RP server, I kinda thought we were at least RP-friendly.

For what it's worth, Shreema, thanks very much for making the effort to roleplay in your post. If we should meet in game, I'll do my best to stumble through some RP with ya! :)

Had a lot of good warbands with Acolytes, and also with Internecion this weekend. Looking forward to many more!

Aoann told me about the post, but i thought she said Heema, and a search didn't turn that up. :( I would have loved to give a lil gobbo zinger or two.
