I say community because I'd prefer that to just a guild tag. I hope this doesnt turn into a long boring post, but here goes...
My wife and I are looking for a destruction guild to join up with. A bit about who we are and what we are looking for... We actually met playing DAOC on the Guinevere server up until New Frontiers, did some time in Hib/Perc before retiring from DAOC all together.. :confused: From there we moved on to WoW, and have tried most of the major MMO releases since DAOC. ( SWG, EQ2,CoH/V,LOTRO, AoC) to name a few. Our participation has ranged from supportive member, to taking part in guild leadership. Like most, we haven't been able to find a good community since our DAOC days, so the countdown to WAR began.
We both got accepted into the WAR beta back in February and now here it is.. release! We chose Phoenix Throne because there were alot of familiar names and guilds from our time in DAOC and we had been unable to find a fun, active community like it anywhere else. :p
We're hoping to find a good sized guild that is active, fun, has a good sense of humor and is very much into RvR and into community building here on Phoenix Throne. We aren't excited by PvE raids, but really love RvR, large and small scale.. (mostly open world stuff, but scenarios have proved to be fun too). We're both pretty friendly folks, so guilds with lively guild chat that enjoy grouping up together even just for little things is a huge plus.
We usually play a bit in the evenings EST during the week, and more on weekends... things are a bit spotty since we are expecting our first little goblin ;) so that varies from time to time. We'd like to join a guild to help build the community, help our guildmates and kick Order tail. My main is a Shaman, while my wife has been back and forth between a Squig Herder and a Magus at the moment.
If we sound like folks you might like to have in your guild, give me a shout, we'd love to meet up with folks in game where possible :)
P.S. we've kept in touch with 5-6 close gaming friends that are joining us on Phoenix Throne as well.. imagine they might also want to apply to a guild should we find one, just tossing that out there.
