Has anyone loaded the game from cd?

Couldnt get the damn spamalot proggie to work, so I loaded the game from the cd's. Now, 1. I cant register the damn thing cause its not listed on ea site.
2. the darn exe shortcuts dont work, cant d/l the patch.

warpatch.exe is the file you need to launch. That doesn't work?

I reloaded mine from CD as soon as it came and didn't experience any issues.

nope, but it also loaded the game onto /program.data/warhammer.....nope I dont run vista (back to reloading/sigh) cant wait to patch!! /rubs hands with glee and sadism

Was running the beta client before but decided to reload from DVD. No problems so far and plus you get the cinematic in the beginning.

After losing my hard drive last Thursday I reloaded and have had no problems.

My laptop loaded from the DVDs just fine.

Maybe try uninstalling and redoing the install. Perhaps the manual has other tips, or FAQ on their website.

Had to uninstall all war stuff....d/l was only 204mb which wasnt as bad as I thought it would be. Works fine now :D

But beyond the intro movie, their really isn't a reason to install from the DVD's that we didn't get from downloading the client, correct?

Correct....I was having issues getting the Curse proggy to work......damn gold spammers pissed me off enough to go thru the effert.....Now all I get are the Thank you for submitting your appeal message :D

Spam proggie is broke from last patch, nothing to do with install! :D

Should be a fix soon, I would think.

Wouldnt work off the beta install I had.......please Mythic gods fix this!!! (though they did add a new nifty /rolls eyes gold spammer class on appeals)

I reinstalled off the discs since it was recommended to help the game from causing my puter to go link dead.

I also had to open/secure ports via my router.
