Kenmore from Sears.
Or, you could check out Consumer Reports for more comprehensive recommendations...

I bought this Frigidaire washer (http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productDetail&productId=256879-2251-LTF2140FS&lpage=none) (a consumer reports best buy) earlier this year when my old machine finally died after 10 years of service.
I'd recommend a front loader over a top loader, they use less water and since they spin so fast you don't have to dry clothes as long in the dryer or outside. My electric and water bills went down noticeably after replacing the washer (like $10-20 each) so in about 1-2 years it will have paid for itself.

I looked at top loaders and went with a commerical grade "Speed Queen". Its top load but it stops when its unbalanced and it doesn't have a fancy digtal display. those are evil!
I live with a semi driver. I have to wash clothes soaked in grease and disel fuel on a regular basis. :)
Though another thing you can do to lower your power bills is make sure your dryer has a metal vent instead of plastic tubing :D
