I don't know anything for sure, and I've also been clicking "no" just because I've been in too much of a hurry all the time to do the upgrade. But it looks like a minor version upgrade. Which should mean that you shouldn't be incompatible by mixing the new and old versions. Unlike the last upgrade awhile back where we all had to switch to be compatible.

I've had it for a few days now with no issues. The change log shows fairly minor modifications, but I see no reason not to update. I updated it when I saw it because I had the issue with multi-monitor setups that's mentioned as fixed.

I ran it last night as well with no issues. ......ok i sat in the muted channel and never got on, but it sat there just fine!

You can safely upgrade and interact on vent with those that haven't done the upgrade yet.

It is really a non issue, so upgrade if you desire, don't if you don't.

It's a client update, the server ones are down by who's hosting them. That usually requires an upgrade request from the account holder.
