I was watching Deehorsey's (Warrior Priest) video, and I noticed that he was rezzed in RvR, and retained his Soul Essence or whatever it's called. It was at 210 out of 250 when he died, and when he was rezzed (during combat), it was still 210 and started building up from there due to his chalice until he started healing.

Now I've only got a baby DoK, but I'm pretty sure I've been frustrated many times by not being able to heal right after being rezzed. So is this yet another broken mechanic that Order's side doesn't have? Or am I mistaken in that I was already 0 when I died? I know I can test this, just thought if someone would know off hand.

I dont think he got a normal rez on that video because he was rezzed almost immediately after he was dropped and after a lot of combat so one of the healers probably burned a rank 4 on him so this might have something to do with the rank 4 not the mechanic of rezzes and soul essence vs righteous fury.

Ok, that might be true (hence why I clarified it was a rez during combat), I wonder if DoKs retain their SE after a morale 4 rez though?

I dont see any reason why a class mechanic that is exactly the same just with a different name would function differently like that but I'm too lazy to go test it.

Yesterday was my first day playing again in a long time and I didn't pay attention to this subject matter, but if I recall correctly from before, SE/RF doesn't actually go away upon death (according to the UI) but rather upon rez/release.

I haven't watched the video - was he rezed with 100% health? If so, I only know of the Standard rez that would do that and it's possible that that rez doesn't remove SE/RF (though whether by mistake or intent, I could not say).

There was no one with a banner close to him when he got rezzed. He was dead for 5-10 seconds with the tombstone popup, then got a rez popup. He died with 210 RF, and when rezzed he was at 20% health and still 210 RF.

And yes, I would definitely not put it past Mythic to have overlooked something as fundamental as this between two "mirror" classes. There are so many things I can list that you would *think* should be the same between mirror classes, but are inexplicably slightly different (eg, spells between mirrors that have identical function and recast, but one is an insta and one has a 2 second cast time)
