Does anyone know if Curse changed the client recently? Last week I got the bright idea to clear out all my old mods and rebuild my interface. I did it in the usual way that I am used to, with the curse client giving me a list of addons to install/remove. Today I was having some trouble with the interface and wanted to change some of the installations. When I clicked on the curse client icon, instead of getting the usual list of installed addons, I got a login prompt. Did they go to a new system where you have to log in to use it, or have I done something else that corrupted my curse client?

Worse yet, when I do log in, I am still not given access to my installation list. It wants me to set up some sort of profile for Warhammer, and it keeps balking at the installation path setting.

It's had the login since the beginning, but it generally does it automatically.

Which version are you using? I had not realized that version 3 had come out and that you have to manually install it - version 2 can't auto-update itself to version 3 - so I was having issues that have since been resolved.

Yeah, I was using Version 2, I'm pretty sure. I got rid of it and installed version 3. Yes, it does an autologin if your password is set. I have no idea why out of the blue, it started giving me the password challenge. Maybe that has something to do with their change to Version 3. And since I've not seen this in six months or more, I didn't remember this to be an issue (nor did I remember the password). Got it back to working as normal again now. Bad timing with replacing my in-game interface, unfortunately, so I was pretty confused when so many things both in-game and out-of-game seemed to go wrong at once.

Hopefully this story will be helpful to some other Curse users.

Yeah, the challenge was always there but some time during my hiatus the auto-login stopped working, though it still had the information stored so I just had to press the Login button. Probably, as you say, coinciding with the release of v3.

True that. My interface updates recently must have been just before that came out.

I got something similar the other day...I thought it had to do with Curse's push for their 'Premium Services' offering...:mad:
