From the warhammer newsletter...

Both realms endeavor to have an active expedition to the Land of the Dead. The means of transport to the hostile desert wasteland are Airships. Airship expeditions are costly affairs which require resources. Only one realm will control the necessary supply lines to support the expedition, and so only one realm's flight masters will allow flight to the Land of the Dead at any one time.

These meters grow with every Tier 4 zone control won, and every player killed in open RvR. Once a realm fills its Expedition Resource meter it will gain control of the Land of the Dead. Its Airship Flight Masters will become active, while the other realm's will become inactive. On transfer of control, the Expedition Resource gathering pauses for 30 minutes, giving the newly winning realm unfettered access for that duration. After that the winning realm will continue to have access but their resource meter will reset, while the losing realm's meter continues where they left off.
While only one realm can zone in and respawn in the Land of the Dead at any given time, this does not mean the opposing realm's players won't still be lurking about in Zandri. The only thing that will cast these enemy players out of the zone is respawning after dying.

Looking forward to some good rvr retaking raids.

Wonder if they will do separate entrances or the same.

They say the whole lands of the dead area is one um, area. So not instanced save for a few lairs.

The flight masters are in the capital cities.

While the zone is square, the general shape of the content resembles an inverted "U". There is an impassable block between the two legs.

The realm camps are at the bottom of the two legs. As you progress "north" (maps in this game are not always oriented in the typical north = up fashion, so I don't know if it is actually north), you pass through your realm's Easy, Medium and then Hard outdoor content. Your Hard content borders the other realm's and this is the point where you can cross into the enemy's content, which is just outside the pyramid that contains the Tomb.

In other words, it's set up very similarly to Darkness Falls with only two realms and more of a 2D layout rather than DF's large elevation changes.

But I like large elevation changes! That's how I kill witchhunters
