Hel Maor will be playing the upcoming game "Age of Conan". ?The server list has not been released, but we will be forming up on a RP-PVP server. ?We will post more once the server list is released. ?Everyone here that is interested?are?invited?to?join?us.

Thanks for the invite, and good luck with that! Let us know how it goes. At the moment, I'm personally too busy to pick up yet another game. But maybe if WAR were to tank after all, we might all need a new home. :)

I got a beta key from fileplanet, so I'll see how that goes. The thing that scares me the most about this game is sticking the pc and 360 version on the same servers, especially for advertising itself as a pvp game.

Yah, I saw some stuff from a recent interview, saying the best gear will come from Raiding only. You can get some pvp gear, but there are seperate pvp levels, and you lose pvp xp when you get killed...alot of it. And there is limited amount of pvp gear only the top people will be able to get.

But I'm trying to get a beta key and just give it a look. Hryggr says the WAR guild beta is once again "soon" and guilds are getting more slots then before.

I had a few friends playing in AoC beta. They warned me off the game so let's hope whatever problems they saw will be fixed for you guys. Good luck and kill a few 360'ers for us!

I'm messing around with the open beta, it will be a short term diversion for me I feel. Sorta like LOTRO was. Played for a few weeks, gave me a break from WoW. Beyond that who knows.

I uh...stumbled across a website that had some information not commonly released about the WAR beta. I was very happy about what I've been reading. Can't wait for the guild beta to start up. Its been moved back into the "soon" status again per Hryggr.

Nope. Haven't got in yet. Some thief! I usually go with wolvAn as my first choice then variations on that. I'm still waiting for guild beta to get in. Unless you pull some strings for me. :)

Sorry, I don't have any more strings than you folks do, since I understand that AN also has a guild invite lined up (whenever that happens).

I have a guild in World of Warcraft still and we are trying out Age of Conan when it comes out. Some of you may recognize a lot of the people in my guild like Galtor/Thorgenson, Rashaverik, Broggle, Ovr, Flinty, Gjorad etc. Many were in the guild Rune on Mid/Perc.

We have not decided on a server since the list is not up yet but plan to settle on a PvE server since a PvP server just means we get ganked by everyone while trying to level.

But anyhow, if anyone is interested in trying the game lets set up a community of guilds. I have spoken to Fist of the North already and looking forward to hearing from other guilds. Here are some ways of finding me:

Just an update: HM looks like we'll be trying out the "Set" server. It's PvE - we were a bit disapointed they were not going to have a RP-PvE server but oh well.

The PvP server turned out to be mostly Mordred style where anyone could kill anyone (even among guilds). We figured that the PvE servers were the most similiar to DAoC with PvE only areas and PvP "frontiers" style zones for the big PvP events.

Anyhow, anyone who wants to try out the game with us, we'll be setting up shop on Set. We will have a few online during the 3 day early play period. Look up Hrock and/or Wretch if you want to chat about the guild in the couple of days it takes for us to get to level 20 - yeah you have to be level 20 before you can create a guild :blink:

Also, just a quick reminder that the Hel Maor forums can be found at http://hmguild.org if you want to come browse around there. I'll try to get Candide to make it a bit easier to create a new account there... damn spammers!!!!

HM, after oppinions voiced on our boards, is going to stick with the original plan and go RP-PvP initialy. We will be rolling on the Cimmeria server. We're expecting that the "RP" server type will keep over-zealous ganking manageable. Look up Hrock and/or Wretch, tell us you are from Perc, and we'll hook you up!

If it ends up sucking Mordred style, we'll figure out where to move at that point.

Sorry for all of the indecision - the Funcom crew sure hasn't been very open about what the diffrent server types will be like for player experience.

I played beta. The release version is a completely different ballgame. Try it or miss out :)

There are several Percival people over on Conan Cimmeria server. The pve and leveling was a lot of fun and the game is incredibly gorgeous. It is very realistic and gritty looking. However, the pvp is a mess... The "revolutionary melee system" has been such a resounding success that everyone is rolling up casters for pvp.

If you guys need a hand feel free to ask FragHaus or Primal Fury. My PoM is in FH which is in an alliance with PF. Both groups of people are incredibley friendly and helpfull.

Just an update here. We are no longer activly playing this game as a guild. It was an incredibly fun leveling/PvE game for the first 55 levels, but pretty much everyone quit past that point with very few actually grinding their way to 80. The end game just is not that good at this point.

Hel Maor is now sitting tight awaighting the release of Warhammer.
