Thanks Ripert, but Fileplanet isn't free... anyway, a big nevermind, I just found out you have to have a (key), which I don't have. So much for quote "Open Beta". >.<

Open beta as an industry term means a beta with no NDA. That some open betas allow anyone and everyone to try it does not change this, though NCSoft didn't help the confusion by dropping the NDA during the "closed" betas.

I just reformatted my computer... I've downloaded Aion twice now through fileplanet and it's telling me the zipped file is invalid or corrupted... what can I do?

I assume you have an account and have registered at NCSoft site. I would read and try here:

Ska, If I remember right that was a problem with windows zip handler. Download something like 7-zip or Winzip and use that to unzip the file.
