help with aion launching with new launcher

okay so yeah...reinstalling the NCSoft launcher removed Aion from my programs list when the launcher comes up

any suggestions? with 5 min to go i'm losing my patience with this crap

Use the launcher to "install" Aion and point it to the directory that the game is already in.

well, i made the mistake of saying "programs" list when i guess i could have said "games" but in essence i said that :)

Try using that. Should be an Aion-ified version of the launcher.

sorry i had to cut it short and go to work...without making my new characters...little to say i was steamed.....none fault but my own, accidental like...

all that link did was start the redownload of the game and every time i logged into the launcher it resumed downloading the client again...so now i uninstalled and am reinstalling as we speak

Re-boot your PC. Everything will work fine. I have to do this often with Aion when it just decides to lock up or not work at all for some reason. I've never had to do this with any other game, but it has a 100% success rate with Aion weirdness so far.

There is a "Properties" option in the pull-down for the game (same place you would do Repair or Check For Updates). You can set the installation directory from there - if you set it to the place that it was already installed, it'll check and find the game and then just let you update (if needed).

unfortunatly this is not a fix for me...as i've tried that

you can right click the word "Aion" and select repair.
