and maybe least favorite?

I know to each their own but what are we finding fun, boring, gimped, over powered?

Depends on playstyle, all seem viable btw.

Cleric, more like DAoC type healer, less like a WAR healer.

Templar, Main tank, slow to kill-slow to be killed is the idea.

Sorc- dps caster. Has CC.

Spiritmaster- caster/pet class. I think they will grow into being the nastiest of all classes to go against. Even more CC than the Sorc, if I recall correctly.

Gladiator. DPS tank. I liken it to DAoC's champ. Solid dps, but less survivability than the Templar.

Ranger- Dude with the bow, and has CC. Nasty class, especially if played well.

Assasin- Stealth and burst melee dps. Nasty 1v1 class.

Chanter. Melee and heals and buffs, including speed buff. Basically a Hybrid. I liken it to a Friar from DAoC.

Hope that is mostly accurate and some help. FYI, what class may seem gimp early, will grow into being better latter on. Not positive how they all round out at 50 endgame.

In pvp I'm finding the ranger to be very wicked. So many knock backs and roots it's crazy. As chanter it takes me forever to kill things and with lack of range, they're a class I hate the most to go up against.

First class: (Fits me for PVP)
Glad I prefer for its Plate and Face smashing consistent dps. I also knock down often. Very often. the Con- easy to kite one, prone to magic, best way to win vs Glad..just turn around and walk away.

Second class I think I want to take up: (fun to play)

Spirit Master: I like the pets and Sorc skills. I dislike pure Sorc and this class is no pure sorc. With some Roots, snares,Fear,Debuffing it seems more Utillity Sorc than DPS.

Third and Final class I will level: (BORING)
Templar- Im not a fan of defense based classes. But I can play one and im pretty sure very well. We need more of these. So this would be my purely PVE based class in the long run.

Sm is like a warlock in WoW but slightly more complex, less powerful, and more fun.

Why do you need more Templars. You have me.....

For whatever reason -- because they are not on, or they won't come when asked -- we often don't have a templar to tank for a group when it is needed. I've had plenty of times already when we could have had a full group to go do a dungeon, but couldn't find a templar to fill that last spot. So yes, we need more templars.

No you just Abuse me!

If you really wish me to tank, i need two blue swords and some stigma shards to swap out 3 stigmas for pve...it will severely gimp my pvp kill ability though.
I will live longer but that kinda defeats the purpose of all my passive glad talents.

Sorry Gis, sometimes life happens. Can't be there for all the runs, but I am usually game or good to go when I am there.

So are we taking new guildies that are Templars too?

I believe he was only generalizing to not point at specific person.

K I know I see Ivar and you show up or step up usually. I don't play enough on Mennions times...but I think he steps up to.

Still that is 3 tanks in a guild of 82...errr...yah...sorta need templars.

I think this is another situation where we have to be patient and wait for the up and coming Templars. Cron, Babble, Blite and a few others are on the way up.

The lower level guys catching up may be impossible. We cant PL them so this really stinks. I also am not slowing down my progression so it's just something I can't hold hope on.

The benefit of them climbing up is at 50 we will have just enough tanks around for the PVE Raids... Currently I think if we meet some good folks who play Templar at 35+ ...we should inquire if they like to join.

So templars are needed but I'll likely be leveling solo... or seemingly so... I'll likely play a ranger... maybe get a templar going to.. we'll see.

Do they do rest xp in this game? Cause if so I've always found it nice to level one... rest the other and switch when you are unrested.

Rested EXP doesn't hit until level 25. Also we do have a few sub 20's out there so you would not be totally alone. You would be able to solo quite well until you get to the Black Claw quests, then you need a group.

I play the Templar. I like it. yes it lacks DPS, but when I solo I use a 2h then I do alright. Just take alot of bandages, odella, and/or cheap hot pots to decrease the down time. The worst part is keeping your gear up to date. Tanking as you get higher requires good gear, at least close to your level. And that gets expensive, when Gladiators, and Priests are competing for alot of the same gear. You end up buying alot.

I have a mini ranger and I find that the kiting just plain sucks. I am happy I went with the Templar over a Ranger.

Ranger is tough work until 16 where it gets a little better. At 19 you finally feel like an archer class. You will need to kite as a ranger. When you are lower level use your evade, counterattack and back stab to finish off mobs. It makes the killing a little faster.
