Heya, just a quick note to say I woke up this morning to find my account was hacked. I see from Aiononline he remained in guild, please boot him from the guild until I can get it straightened out, dont want him stealing from Guild Vault or giving bad rep.

I was online this morning early...in time to see you leave guild. I sent a tell asking what was up, got a "Sorry." I asked what happened that you left guild and never got a response...this was around 5:15am central.

Sadly it does appear the guild vault was looted, leaving no money and little items.

Still it's only fake internet money, we can build it back, and no one in guild did it on purpose.

Just all of us should beware of odd sites asking for account information, beware of second party programs and virus scan alot.

Just to be clear, none of that applies to this case. My guess so far is that they exploited some vulnerability with firefox to get my stored passwords when I was visiting AionSource or AionProject.net. It is a guess though, but none of what you described is applicable in my case, not that they are bad suggestions.

Hopefully getting 'things back' includes guild funds, I will make sure they look into it.

The guy who created this thread (http://www.aionsource.com/forum/questions-answers/96320-hacked-what-do.html) got his stuff back in about 10 days based on the dates of his posts and relative reference within them.



I got my items back yesterday. I had saved up lots of nice fluxes wich I didn't get back and 2 rings for my lvl 43 that was gone. Seems like things they have sold on broker you get back as kinah instead of items.

Response by Tamat (http://www.aionsource.com/forum/questions-answers/96320-hacked-what-do-8.html#post1964050) later in the thread. Not anything special, just the usual "be careful out there" and "give us as much info as possible while we look into each case".

Edit: It may not make it happen, but you could include somewhere in your feedback the need for greater legion rank controls, specifically for "deposit-only" ranks in this instance.
