It is time to get organized

I had originally planned to wait until Open Beta to get started with some of this... But I'm running into organizations and guilds that we need to begin interacting with. And I'm finding it a bit hard to explain what we are... since we aren't really a guild, or even an alliance at the moment. So here goes...

1) I plan to start a guild for Warhammer when it goes live. Name to be determined. I want to start formally organizing it now.

If you are interested in being part of this guild, please go to http://war.magnitudeweb.com/forum/pr...editusergroups (http://war.magnitudeweb.com/forum/profile.php?do=editusergroups) and add yourself to the guild user group. That will give you access to the guild forum. We'll discuss things like name, heraldry, and whatever else we need to do to get organized there. But mostly, I need to get some feeling for how many people are on board.

2) I need to know what other guilds will be forming in Warhammer that want to be associated with us (or at least let us know of their existence). I'm hoping that our old friends who want to run separate guilds will be interested in going to the same server and being allies. I need to have some sense of who these are going to be. Please post here if you have information about this.

3) Folks might want to be aware of the organization of RP-oriented guilds represented at the site http://www.only-war.com/. This looks to be a big organization representing around 30-50 RP-oriented guilds, both order and destruction. I will start keeping track of what goes on there. One of the guilds is Circle of Trust. Ya I'll keep an eye out for whats going on here and defiantly where you guys end up could impact our decision on what server we roll on. Most likely we'll wanna roll Core RP, as you said though save that for another thread.

Our guild website has been the same for a couple years so should be easy to find us if you remember the name. I'll keep checking back here anyway.

Anyway we have 2 memebers in beta atm. Resp is one and I'm not sure what the other guy name is. Might be Tibial. Both were also from percival.

Heya Gisli, et. al.!

I'm working on reconstituting Blackwolf in some form... I don't know how much of the original guild we'll get back since a lot of them are European players. That being said, I've got the beginnings of "something" going with some people from work, my EQII guild, and a couple other places that are planning on playing Destruction in WAR. At this point we're looking at a name similar to Blackwolf Reapers, but that's still TBD. A few of us pre-ordered the CE, so we'll have a core up and running in headstart.

(My personal preference is to play Order though. I'm jonesing to play a Witch Hunter, Engineer, White Lion, and Shadow Warrior... not necessarily in that order. Can't say the same for any Destruction class at all. But I'm even more interested in gaming with friends, so if they all want Destruction... I'll have my Order habit fulfilled on another server. :) )

Olaffsson -- If you folks play Destruction, you would be welcome to join in with us. My guess is that this game is not going to be small-guild-friendly. You can always give us a try to start, and split off later if that seems for the best.

How small is "small?"

I guess that partly depends on how homogeneous your crew is in its playtime. If you had 10 people who regularly got on together at the same time a few nights a week, it might be viable. But if they don't have that sort of time discipline (and most casual players do not), then those same 10 people are going to get awfully lonely. You really want to be able to form groups as needed, both for RvR and for quests. We don't know how the "living guild" leveling progression will be affected by number of people, so I don't know how that will factor in. But I just don't see how a guild of less than 20 active players will be much fun here. But that's just my opinion.

Hel Maor does have forums at http://hmguild.org/forum/ (you'll need to send Giredus - you know him as Candide - a PM once you sign up since we have some autospammer issues). I'm not involved with the leadership this time, but from what I can tell, we are still strongly leaning toward Destruction. Not sure of what server type yet, however.

Yes Mythic has confirmed an RP ruleset. There's a movement on only-WAR to show interest in an Open-RvR RP ruleset as well.

I do not have the authority to deem myself an official "envoy" or any such thing from only-WAR, however I am quite an active poster over there, guildmaster of Hraefn-Klaer and part of the Destruction alliance eternal-WAAAGH, which currently consists of Blagtoof WarTribe, Black Sun Boyz, White Flame, Circle of Trust, and my own guild (Hraefn-Klaer).

Hraefn-Klaer also has a handful of vets from Percival though not anyone who had much of a name ;), in addition to just some old school Camelot players.

Anyway, I thought I'd return the venture to the forums to keep in touch with you all, as it'd be nice to see many of you again. As the only-WAR server effort is RP focused, I think it'd be quite nifty if we could all meet up on the same server.

Hi, Tirium! We would like to join the alliance after the next server wipe (presumably that will happen with 3.3) to get to meet the Only-War folks. There is a fair chance that we'll be bringing our own alliance of 4-5 guilds to the live server, so we are not talking about anything long-term (though its always possible that we hit things off wonderfully and change our minds). I'm having trouble reaching the appropriate people in charge of eternal-Waaagh. My post at the Only-War forum didn't seem to attract all that much attention. If you could bring this to their attention, I would appreciate it. Its not a high-risk proposition to either side to ally for a phase, but it would work wonders for us getting to know each other.

I also recommend that eternal-Waaagh invite Shadowclan in for a look-see on the same basis.

I can see what kind of strings I can pull, but we are considered the "kiddy" guild of the eternal-WAAAGH atm (late joining, we haven't technically existed in prior games, etc.) and so I don't know how much influence I really have.

I'm actually not even sure if the eternal-WAAAGH exists in game atm, I know all guilds but mine are in existence in the closed beta atm, however I don't know if they're all allied and what not. Contact has actually been somewhat loose for us recently, with one of the GMs out due to IRL issues (for what we can tell) and in reality he was the mastermind behind the thing.

I'll give you an update once I know what's going on.

Edit: Oh, and the other thing is the site admin over there tends to be pretty tight about the NDA, so it might have to be one of our "non-documented" discussions on AIM.

I plan on forming a guild Destruction side. Most of my crew are old members from Fer Coadee. I plan and we plan on being a RvR guild with medium RP. We hope to join an alliance with like minded guilds. Basically RvR minded :). Currently, I have 3 names for the guild which will be voted on by our council. As soon as we vote I'll let you all know :). The 3 names are:

1) Ushtar Ob Burzum
2) Raugz Daga
3) Shatap Ob Shemat

Snapp has made several posts at the Midgard Warroom about this. He will be playing EU servers, but he is rather upset at the way Mythic is partitioning the world. I agree, its a bad idea. But we are all stuck with it now.
