Ellyiana has always been sort of my in-game conscience, and I interpret her recent post (http://www.ravensflyte.org/forum/showthread.php/4011-Guild-Wars-2?p=27083#post27083) as prodding me to say something. :) On the off chance that there is anyone who is looking to me to do something, I think I ought to make clear my own plans. I would really feel that I have done some good here if I can spur you folks to get together and do some serious discussion and planning. It feels like the time is right for some decisions, since release of at least two games that we've talked about for a long time is coming up before you know it.

At this stage in my life, I just cannot imagine devoting a significant amount of time to an online game. The games that are coming up don't even seem all that interesting to me, not enough to be seriously tempted to play. It is vaguely possible that I might want to be a casual player if there were a group of friends that I could join. But that feels risky to me, because I don't know that I can handle limiting myself to being 'a casual player'. Honestly, I am afraid even to start. I can tell you that the idea of holding the responsibility of being a guild leader again makes me physically ill if I think about it too much. So not a good plan. :) I'm not ready to say that I'll never play a MMORPG seriously again or never be an officer in a guild again. But no time soon.

It would be great if someone were to step up and try to organize the guild for SWTOR or Guild Wars 2. And I would be happy to give any advice or support I can if asked. But I can fully understand if nobody here wants to try. Absent that, I would strongly advise folks to stick together and move as a unit to some other guild. Perhaps the time is good for someone to organize some polls about game interest. Once you pick a game to target, there could be polls about whether to make a Ravensflyte guild, or to reach consensus about another guild to join.

Gisli you have been a great leader I fully understand completely Gisli, because that is exactly what my husband with Fist of the north has gone with the guild. He barely has time to lead the guild because time has change. Gisli! you and your friends are welcome to join anytime if you want to join Fist of the north, but yeah we should do a poll to see what others want. I rather like to see everyone happy I think I am just like you want to see how a game can be for fun and just enjoy it. I think the problem is all the games have there pros and cons in we expect. Maybe we should see how many people respond to this topic first, because it seemed that the forum seemed very quiet:)
Also um kind of embarrassed:D but I really wander how you do a poll.

Mechanically, making a poll is easy. You start a new thread, and look at the bottom of the screen. There is an interface for declaring the number of responses in the poll, and when you push the button to make the post it will take you to a screen to load the poll responses.

However, there is a lot of art to asking the right question and framing the choices in a fair way so as to get meaningful information out of the respondents. Without a lot of care, a poll will either just give the answer that the poll writer is looking for, or it will confuse the respondents so that their answers cannot be interpreted.
