...something like an 'Out of Character Talk' Forum like in the Midgard War Room. That way we would have space to make announcements along these lines:

A Dance with Dragons (Song of Ice and Fire #5)
by George R. R. Martin

Coming September 30th!! :D

Perhaps even more anticipated than WAR...

I had read that this book was not coming out till 2009... if it comes out in 2008 ill be mucho happy.

I'm still waiting for info from ToR on when Jordan's last book is going to be released. I want to finish the Wheel of Time series finally after 10 years now. Damn him for dying halfway thru finishing the last book!!!

The next wheel book was supposed to be his last I heard. Hopefully GRRM lasts through the end of his series.

Nope, supposed to be 12 in the main series (known since at least 2005), "even if [the last one] has to be 1500 pages long". He had plans of doing two more prequels and perhaps some side-plot novels, though, which I imagine he didn't work on enough for them to be possible now.

I still have one of the last books in my trunk waiting to give it back to Pohaku!

Might just have to read it again first though. :D

My great fear is that the 300lb, red faced author will pop a gasket before finishing the story, some hack will find his "previously lost notes" and make a steaming mess of it all...
