Woohoo!

I am pretty sure i want to continue my long tradition of playing a healing class, so i will try each of them on the destruction side.

Anyone able to give a quick overview of the strengths/weaknesses of each?

Even tho I remeber Del from DAOC, he will always be that unkillable cow-bear to me...

Playing minigames in WOW and hearing him calmly say stuff like "I have 4 of them on me at the farm. Can some of you come help kill them when you get done taking the stable?" in vent cracked me up :p

I wonder what the new Del will look like.... /ponder

Healers:

Shaman - (The counterpart to the Archmage):

The best general healer and one of the best classes, IMNSHO. Has both ranged healing and damage. The shaman has two counter, one for healing and one for damage. As you cast spells from one group, i.e. Healing or Damage, it builds up the counter of the other group thus increasing the power of a single spell cast from the other group. Just solid all around but a bit squishy.

Zealot - (The counterpart to the Runemaster):

A solid class which can be played for high survivability. very similar to the Minstrel class of LoTR meeting a Loremaster. They wear down their opponents while keeping themselves healed and out of the danger zone. They are a grinder class but can do some amazing feats, like soloing stuff most classes could not. Almost no spike damage but can be an annoyance.

DoK - (The counterpart to the Warrior Priest):

A melee damage dealer who has to hurt his opponents to build up energy to heal. Uses allot of HoT and one of the best one on one classes around. I have seen one take down a White Lion and that is a feat in itself.

Haha you played a druid too Del? I loved having massive resilience and sitting in bear form and listening to them whiff at me slowing trying to kill me.
