I know the "which side to play" discussion id going on.I was curious if anyone has a basic feel for want they want to play yet.I realize the elves are not done yet.
The reason i ask is this, hoping teh community will not be to split up among the six different factions.I havr looking at the classes that would appeal to me,so i can start researching and planning when the game goes live.
I myself prefer greenskin. But am curious to what others feel.I will will go where main bulk of people go and play greenies when i fel like being antisocial.:)

All the signs* point to there being two sides. It appears that even if you are an orc and your buddy is a goblin or chaos, its not going to be so terribly difficult to get together. Probably like being different races in WOW -- you just need to get up a few levels to travel comfortably.
Its looking like this community is heavily leaning toward destruction. VoV has already declared for destruction. Ravensflyte's voting is running about 5-1 in favor of destruction right now.
I think we can't really do much more planning until open beta. I'm thinking that once that starts, we should make a "tintagal" guild for everyone to be together in. We did that in WoW and it worked out well. At some point we'll have to work out how we're going to sort ourselves into guilds once the game goes live. I'm guessing that not everyone represented here will want to be together in one massive guild (though that wouldn't bother me if we were). I hope that we don't fragment into too many guilds, though. I don't think it benefits anyone to be in a guild that is too small. But I guess I'm biased that way.
Personally, I'm been working out a personna as a greenskin black orc.
Aye, 2 sides with 3 "armies" per side. Below is the current line on traveling to different starting areas, also if you dig through there should be a post somewhere that says that it doesn't matter what army you pick you can guild with those of your side. Also as in DAOC no in-game cross "realm" communication.
I still wish they had a Khorne based class, just so I could run around screaming "Blood for the Blood God, Skulls for the Skull Throne!"* ;D
Q: How soon and how easy will it be for players in allied armies to join up? On launch day, if I decide to play a Dwarf and my friend decides to play Empire, will we be able to find each other in game immediately and play together? Or do we have to wait until we hit a certain rank/tier/zone?
A: Technically, you could join up almost immediately after starting the game. If you know your way around the zones, you can run through the starter areas to the first warcamp and travel from there to your capital city. From your capital city, you can travel to your friend?s first warcamp and run down to his starting area. For those with more patience, you should be able to join up after approximately ten hours of play.

The Sentry is definitely leaning towards Destruction as well :)

The problem, I believe, is that most people will want to play the Destruction side. I believe Blackwolf is leaning towards that as well. It may be that the population on the servers will lean heavily towards Destruction, and that would kind of suck... If that happens, I believe Blackwolf will switch over to Order instead; we're not interested in being part of an overwhelming zerg, albeit a very cool, overwhelming zerg ;)
Personally, I played Chaos in Warhammer, so that would sure suit me best... probably a Chaos Chosen.
