Some input needed on CE and stuff

Hey all,

In order for me to once again spread terror and mayhem, I need some input from you all.

1. Can I still get the CE edition of the game? I don't see it online anywhere.
2. I have a beta key (thanks T :D) and I am in the process of downloading the game itself. Do I even need to purchase the software itself?
3. If a one handed man claps in a forest where a tree happens to fall, does a rolling stone then gather moss?

You'll probably be able to get the CE version of the game on sites like Ebay after launch, but you'll also probably pay more then the original retail because of the limited number of boxes available. I remember seeing the AoC CE boxes on Ebay for $150 USD and up.

Personally I'm going to ebay it. I don't tabletop, and people will pay a bit for a hero-type unpainted mini.

Eh. That would probably be wise, but I am thinking of trying to hack it to a painter in exchange for a painted dragon.

uh oh...i dont have direct x 10 and my system version of windows seems to be "not legal" shall we say.

You don't need Directx10 for WAR if that is what you are asking.

Odd, i keep getting an error then a link that takes me to the microsoft directx page.

Maybe i just need to reinstall 9?

I paid for my legal copy of Windows XP Pro. It set me back a bit but I don't have to worry about things not running now.

you need to update DX9.... the war patcher will do this for you

can get a Corp code for that XP, IMO!

(I lost mine, and believe me.. Iam kicking myself for loosing it)

Try SP3 and that should get you DirectX 9 running smooth.

I havent seen it online anymore either I bought mine before, however I know for open beta that start the 7th of Sept. I have an extra open beta key that will let u play from 9/7-9/14 when live servers get up and the CE preorder keys are what ya need. Anyway hope that helps PM me if ya need a beta key for open beta ;)

From my understanding of direct 10 is for vista then it is for XP.

I did the same thing got a copy of XP and don't have to worry about Vista.
