For those who may want to play Order

After reading Gudrek's post in the "Order or Destruction" thread I messaged Gisli about this, and he encouraged me to post.

For several reasons, my guild, along with a few guilds from DAOC and WoW who aren't connected with your group here, MAY decide to play as Order.

We won't make a final decision until the latter stages of Open Beta; we are aiming to decide by September 12.

If we do go with Order, the general environnment would likely be comfortable for the Percival crew: We trend toward being older players whose guilds set up guidelines and expectations that parallel the environment established within Tintagel/Ravens.

We won't decide on a server until we decide on faction, so the potential issues that Gisli mentioned regarding playing on the Tintagel/Ravens server are not resolved at this time (though of course we won't support playing both factions on the same server).

Still, if we go that way, we may present a reasonable alternative for those who prefer to play Order. I'll post when we reach a decision, and will be glad to help those interested get connected with our planned alliance.

If we end up playing Destruction, that'll be a whole different topic :eek:

Well, there are Chaos Dwarfs, but they don't play nice with others.

Well, that depends on what the goal is. If we are looking to balance the server and fight each other, than yes, we would coordinate to go to the same server. For example, we'd kinda like to end up opposite Warfield's dorf brigade.

But if these people want to stay part of our community, with Destruction and Order branches, then they have to pick another server.

Well if we have a 2nd server for order, I would love to be a Warrior Priest... It looks like the ideal class for me.

There is rather little difference between a warrior priest and a disciple of khaine. They aren't completely identical, but if you like one you should like the other.

DoK = Fancy elf guy with black lipstick and a dress on :P

I am sure DoK would be a good fit for me too, but we have so many playing them already. Plus I really like Marauder so far :) (which means they must be gimpy in end game according to Ivarr's Third Law MMORPGs)...

You forgot that WPs wear dresses also and, as they lack all the neat spiky bits, it's more like an actual dress than cool battle armor.

Aye a coordinated battle assignment might not be a bad idea as per, , we'de know for sure there'd be ample competition from the right kinda people.

For Order? Looks like that might be the plan. It would be really nice to have an established Chaos and Order Alliance before the game goes live.
