Yeah I saw that..... kinda limits the options, doesn't it? I myself bought the standard edition preorder, but I'm sure plenty of people here bought the Collector's Edition..

I don't see how this doesn't end badly. We're left with no good choices. Mythic is being really dumb.

My suggestion would be one alliance tries Core and One tries RvR, if I am reading the Herald correctly.

I don't understand this suggestion. We should go to different servers?

For the non-clickers:
We've updated our server list with what will be our starting line up for CE and SE Head Start. Keep in mind, this is only what we are starting with. We will adjust population caps and add more servers, both during CE and SE Head Start, as needed to ensure a healthy population spread across all servers.
Players will be able to choose from four server types: Core, Open RvR, Roleplay, and a hybrid Roleplay/Open RvR ruleset. We will continue to open up servers supporting different server types as the need arises. While we have split the roll-out of these initial servers between the CE and SE Head Start, once players are in the Head Start, they may play on any available server.

I had not known that we decided to roll against each other on the same server yet.

my only recommendation is to stick with core-rp (phoenix throne)
there won't be that many CE players compared to preorder, phoenix throne would be the 2nd RP server in alphabetical order on non-CE preorder headstart and it will already be populated, thus curtailing people from our server
if it gets too crowded by tuesday we can always move at preorder start.
the only way it might get heavy is if a bunch of alliances have only a handful of CE players that are going to headstart on phoenix throne

Every RP alliance will be in the same boat, Muninn. I know of at least three large destruction communities: Ours, Only-WAR, and the Percival VN boards folks. And of course, there are Order communities to mirror these (notably, Guin Alliance and the Only-WAR Order side). Every community has to make a decision based on this information.

Keep in mind I am coordinating a relatively large crowd outside of our alliance which are planning to join the same server together, not just from Percival, DAoC; but also from Verdantine, Asheron's Call; Illidan, World of Warcraft; and Hyperborea, Age of Conan.
Everyone is showing much favor toward Phoenix Throne.
Also, just as the above poster stated, servers that start with the letter "A" are ALWAYS the ones flooded because they are at the top of the list when companies like Mythic use alphbetical categorization.
That alone will most likely make Phoenix Throne the best choice.
The bottom line is everyone wants to get their money's worth for paying double for the game and getting their full 4-day head start.
It will be very difficult to sway that choice otherwise for any group.
We can only hope if Mythic puts out a new server, they do it very quickly.
I can attest that by 8am Sunday morning, most of everyone will have made their final decisions--if they haven't already as of 4:14am this morning.

Those with connections start applying some pressure on Mythic to release another RP server by Sunday :P

I've done that already.
Hoping for the best at this point.

Ah, that's a lot of folks.
I have not voted in this thread's poll yet because it is not clear to me if we are going to compete directly with the Guinevere alliance, or avoid being on the same server? If I had to choose, I would say to avoid being on the same server. This way people can play in both alliances for Order and Destruction without either having to make a tough choice, or having a conflict of interest with 2 accounts.
Has that has been decided? If so then I can vote :)

Let's face it, you're going to have a favorite character. You're going to want to have good fights on that one toon. And we're garunteed to have good fights knowing guin's on the other side of the ball.
