I'm thinking Ostermark is still the way to go. It lets our CE people not waste their money, and also frees people up to roll Order alts on Phoenix with the Guinevere alliance.

It seems negative when you add "Even if there is bad queues" beside the Phoenix Throne option. Mark already stated he doesn't intend on allowing queue's to build from CE until the 18th.

No reason to assume there will be queue's on PT but not on the others listed.

Just a thought.

Well here's my thinking.
Phoenix Throne having a more pleasing name will be more popular.
Therefore we should go to Ostermark.

That way we'll likely have the less popular of the starting two. Yet still get started asap.

Either way I'll be where the gang goes.
I'll check online before I get gaming.

I voted PT why not play with our brethern all the time from the Guin Alliance Order... By playing Destruction so they will have worthy foes on the battle feild... Reckoning was my 1st guild in my 1st MMO I would have loved to fight along side of them again. My guild and Reckoning was set togo Destruction now with them fallen to the Order side I'd want to roll on PT to crush them. May Tzeentch have mercy on their souls

You have to also remember now that on SE day, unless I read incorrectly Skavenblight and Avelorn will be available as well and possibly Tor on top of that. So PT shouldn't see the massive boom in population anymore. You're looking at the third 3 RP servers down the list alphabetically by SE time and by retail who knows how far down it will be. With the rally having gone out for PT earlier today and the fact that some people not being aware of time changes etc, I think it's best to stick to the earlier plan.

On top of this I like the idea of going against guin alliance, because you know they're good(a challenge) and will bring a good number of order guilds over, which means there will be a better population balance than there might be on another server where you have no idea who might end up there.

I'm not sure how Ostermark now makes it a waste for CE to roll on PT anymore. If anything now Ostermark is going to be alphabetically first and given what we know about the server roll out plans it seems like a lot of our fears are going to be rendered null in terms of bringing our guilds on board.

I have to think the non-hardcore people who pre-ordered the retails and even in some cases SE have no idea PT was hot this morning and will be looking at 3 or 4 RP servers above that one.

It was in reference to earlier debate where there was only going to be one Core RP server, and the question was raised, what if we wait to roll on the 2nd RP server that opens for the SE people. But now there's two so really I guess part of what I was saying is moot :blushing: :)

Voted Ostermark, just in case i ever decide to roll an Order alt, would be nice to know there is another server with a good community (Guin-RP and Stone and Steel) on Phoenix Throne. I'm sure they'll be plenty of good guilds on order side of Ostermark too for us to fight against.

I think Ostermark will have a healthy pop since it's a CE server, but not be overpopulated because the name isn't all that hot. I keep thinking 'Oyster' when I read it.

I voted oster also, simply because about 95% of the people I know from DAOC are rolling order on Phoenix throne and I'd like to be able to make an alt to play with them sometimes, but either way, I'll probably go with wherever this community goes as I would prefer to be apart of the DAOC community again and I'll be looking forward to meeting a lot of new people from perc and nim. :)

My guild is fully committed to this alliance, so basing any decisions that impact our guild or this alliance on the social whims of individuals just doesn't make sense to me. Those who want to bounce around have options, such as a second account. It's my preference that we build the best server community possible for our alliance to exist in, not concern ourselves with keeping options open and pseudo-commitment.

I hear what you're saying. The only difference being that i know personally some of the guin alliance having played on guin in daoc a bit (though much less than nimue/perc) and being in beta with a few of them.

Regardless, as the previous poster pointed out, i'm all for dedicating myself to this alliance wherever it may end up.
