I'm glad we created a crafting forum. I was half tempted to list my impressive stats of Talisman 2, Salvaging 4 until I saw what some of the pros had already posted.

Instead, I'll submit this question. For talisman making, is successfully salvaging an item (like a broken sword or green armor) the only way to get a fragment for completing the assembly process?

That's the only way I've found so far. You can buy green renown gear for salvage. That get's a bit expensive though.

I'm working on it, but it's a little slow. The easiest way to get a talisman, for now, is going to be auctions. More to come.

So far I'm at 27 TM and have a good bit of req25 mats (though probably not enough to get to 50, which is the next step) except for the containers. I don't know of any place to get higher skill containers other than the Guild Hall, which is still closed due to the City being Rank 1.

Me will buy me good mats frum da auction house when me wants ta makes a really goods talisman.

Since me do Salvage too, most of da time me just breaks downs itums me gets and use de components me makes frum dose. Me combine dose wit da cheapo mats frum da merchants. Dat way me can skills ups witout havin ta spends too much monies.

Ive got about 135 in salvaging and 36 in talismant making but im stuck at TM cause i cant find the proper level 25 containers or other goods (curio and gold ?) and that without them i cant gain any skill points...

I got a trillion of mats to up it when ever i know how....ive been looking...but failed !

I can help you with gold essence if someone supplies me with Goldweed. But Waz is Cultivator/Apothecary so he's a one-stop shop on that aspect.

I can supply curios. I'm constantly dropping them in the guild vault. Have you been checking there?

I don't know about containers. Where do they come from? You don't just buy them at the vendor?
