Talisman Making

I'm up to 46 TM using the level one containers and gold. I have yet to find anything higher. If you use level 25 fragments, curios, and essence you can skill up. I just need a good source for level 25 and up curios at this point. I've gone broke buying them from auction.

Curios are not hard to get for a scavenger. Of course, I'm way beyond L25. But maybe I can go gather some for you. I was thinking of doing a run on some lower zones for some tome unlocks at some point soon. I can AOE a lot of stuff. What I need to know is what is a good source for curio drops. I haven't really been paying that much attention. But I've got some ideas.

kk guys i can help this problem your having....the way i lvled up my talsiman making was alittle painful but i had nothing to go by so i hope you learn from my mistakes.
curios and magical essences are dropped in butchering or scavenging. once you get 25 into TM try your hardest to use lvl25 curios and essences it makes it easier to skill up. fragments with salvaging skill of 70ish you can salvage to lvl21.the best thing i did was goto renown merchants and buy boots they are the cheapest armor. i also ask my guildies to give me their old tier1 and 2 armor. any other garther can get you curios and magical essences at times but rare. use your essences from your items instead of buying the cheap lvl1 from merchant. gold essences are expensive to buy from AH so i made a planter to make my own. curios are always found from the other 2 garthering skills. magical essences you produces with the items essences from salvaging. i hope this helps out

I'm up to 120 talisman making. Now that you can buy the low end stuff it should be really easy to get up past the mid 30s which was really hard.

If anyone needs wounds talismans I am your guy. send me a message here or mail in game and I'll give you some for free.

I'd just roll a level 1 alt and run through level 1-11 scavenging along the way to get those curios.

If you guys just want to level, just use the level 1 containers, curios, and gold essences to level up. You can use the level 1 magic essence too but if you can use the ones you salvage if you want to cut down on bank space.

I just hit 200 last nite. I used level 1 stuff the entire way, mearly using the higher level frags as I got them.

Save the higher end curios etc for when you want to make a decent talisman to actually use. If youre making purely for skilling up, dont bother with the AH, just buy the junk off the vendor.

Oh and being 200 now Im no longer skilling and will be doing purely order work so shoot me a tell if you want anything. I dont stock much anymore (gave alot away to help others level up) so youll prolly have to supply stuff for it.

can 100% confirm the skilling process.. just shred gear for frags and use the lvl 1 vendor junk, don't even have to use a curio for that matter

Also, pay attention to the timers on talismans (yep noobie me had to have it explained) but going thru gear as I was leveling, I didnt notice. Now that Im wearing gear longer, I noticed a talisman gone. Timer was up. Spellcrafting part 2, with a twist. lol

I just wanted to double, extra, without a doubt, confirm something before I made a big push into talisman making. Are the experts saying I can use all level 1 components (containers, fragments, curious, gold essense, magic essence) to get from skill level 1 to 200?

Do I have a higher success rate if I use higher level items or should I just stick with using all merchant-bought items until I max out my skill level.
