If you can see combat messages for an enemy player, you know they're within a certain radius of you, so he set up a tab that shows only those messages.

He means setting up a chat window that only shows enemy damage so you can see when an enemy is fighting before they show up on your radar.

Thanks for the link! I have yet to see any pvp information that doesn't stress how fun the SM can be.

I like how the end lvl SM abilities actually "buff" your foe, merely so you can rip them off with your damaging buff removal.

You can set it up to show only ENEMY, and you can set it to show them doing ANYTHING. Not just attacking.

Entering Stealth, Leaving Stealth, Healing, Buffing, Using Potions, Attacking, Ressing, Death... If you have one small window open to just show Hostile Players, then it will only scroll when one is near you... like advanced warning.
