Thread: If You Are Still Playing Destruction, What Keeps You Playing?

Default If You Are Still Playing Destruction, What Keeps You Playing?

My wife asked this question when we were chatting about WAR, and I think it is a really interesting question. So I am asking this in all seriousness:

If you are still playing Destruction on WAR right now, what is it that keeps you playing?

The game balance and the population are massively against you, and it doesn't seem like Mythic is going to fix it, so what is it that keeps you logging on and playing?

    Thanks!

Since Aion's Launch, Order has disappeared as well as Destro but Region is now quiet of the whinning of players. Everyone works together, Order is getting stomped at times when they outnumber us at keeps. There is a lot of small scale fighting that makes things very fun.

Aion's launch was a blessing for PT Destro, but the reason I still play is because I still haven't seen everything in the game, I play with friends that work well together. Our guild had a 3 group Guild RvR night and were pivotal player in several flips and even tried a Fort that was not expected and almost took Riekwald with the other Destro that was on. So right now, its mainly friends and stomping a good amount of order with the guild I'm in. So those are my reason.

I play because its still fun, of course. I don't really buy into the order classes being so overpowered anymore. Its mainly that they mesh so well together if played well and built as a group (something you won't encounter with order PuG groups). I've built myself to be able to solo most any equal-rr/gear class save for some defensive tanks.

I'm still out there in the rvr lakes, wheeling and dealing kills to anyone who thinks its still safe to walk alone in Praag late at night

My guild is still here for many of the reasons above: we haven't seen it all yet; and there's still battling to be done. If we get tired of WAR - or if Aion turns out to be the real DAoC II - then maybe we'll leave for Aion. Don't know how I'll survive not being an orc or a troll or something similar, tho...
