Default Quest XP Boost in testing

I'm not sure what his thing is with the version number as Aion follows the fairly standard MajorVersion.MinorVersion.MajorRevision.MinorRevis ion numbering system where the MinorVersion is determined by content additions and the Revisions are for changes between them. MinorRevision is often not used, though.

    http://www.aionsource.com/forum/news...easts-o_o.html

The quests shown are high 30s through mid 40's, but those are some pretty substantial boosts, especially to that one that currently gives 8900. To be clear, boosts are being applied to all sorts of quests, the table is just a sample.

Later are translated 1.5.1 patch notes that most have probably already seen.

Edit: Strange that MinorRevision is getting split as there isn't a space in edit mode.

I hope this is to bring quest xp more in line with the lower level quests. It would be bad IMO to boost the importance of quests even more. I enjoy the fact that mindless mob grinding is a viable option to get xp.

Grinding is currently significantly faster than questing at all levels provided you can find a good camp for yourself. With their slower kill rates, Clerics and Chanters could be an exception however.

Slower kill rate? other than the glass cannons, I kill rather quickly. No down time, a parry-based style that frequently hits for 400+ and critted for 729 yesterday on a same-level mob. As a priest class, the key to xping in an efficient manner when solo is finding the right con mobs/xp combo to keep you rolling. The kill 15 repeatable in lower abyss is crazy fast killing and xp. 2 bubbles at 29 in 20 minutes this am when place wasn't camped.

Maybe it's just the Clerics that complain, then.

    Still, it's slower than mine.

Clerics do seem to kill slower.

They are way harder to gank though.
Sometimes in raids there is fire.
You have to not stand in that fire.

Correct, chanters kill about as fast as a gladiator surprisingly enough. That's when using a decent staff with good enchantments on it though, for me at least.

Less down time as well, surprised people assume chanter isn't a good solo class all in all. More so with the fact you still get about the same xp killing monster below your level.

Had a great fight w/an elyos chanter the other day. stepped afk at a site where i had a quest turn in in abyss. came back...1/2 dead. popped a heal and started nailing the guy. We could've kept it up indefinitely. An asmo glad happened along and we finally killed the guy.
