I think this is another situation where we have to be patient and wait for the up and coming Templars. Cron, Babble, Blite and a few others are on the way up.

The lower level guys catching up may be impossible. We cant PL them so this really stinks. I also am not slowing down my progression so it's just something I can't hold hope on.

The benefit of them climbing up is at 50 we will have just enough tanks around for the PVE Raids... Currently I think if we meet some good folks who play Templar at 35+ ...we should inquire if they like to join.

    Cool

So templars are needed but I'll likely be leveling solo... or seemingly so... I'll likely play a ranger... maybe get a templar going to.. we'll see.

Do they do rest xp in this game? Cause if so I've always found it nice to level one... rest the other and switch when you are unrested.

Rested EXP doesn't hit until level 25. Also we do have a few sub 20's out there so you would not be totally alone. You would be able to solo quite well until you get to the Black Claw quests, then you need a group.

I play the Templar. I like it. yes it lacks DPS, but when I solo I use a 2h then I do alright. Just take alot of bandages, odella, and/or cheap hot pots to decrease the down time. The worst part is keeping your gear up to date. Tanking as you get higher requires good gear, at least close to your level. And that gets expensive, when Gladiators, and Priests are competing for alot of the same gear. You end up buying alot.

I have a mini ranger and I find that the kiting just plain sucks. I am happy I went with the Templar over a Ranger.

Ranger is tough work until 16 where it gets a little better. At 19 you finally feel like an archer class. You will need to kite as a ranger. When you are lower level use your evade, counterattack and back stab to finish off mobs. It makes the killing a little faster.
