Server Move

Over the next week or two we'll be moved onto a brand new server. I do not know the exact date yet, but since this server is at a new location when the move happens access may not be available while DNS is updated, this could take anywhere from 24 to 48 hours to fully propagate, depending on your ISP.

It should be good news. The first thing is that the server will be local to the hosting company so no more waiting around for some thirdparty if something goes horribly wrong. The second is that it is a significantly faster machine. If I get a better idea on an exact date I'll post here if possible, but if the site disappears for a couple days don't worry right away, I'll post something on the warroom if something goes horribly wrong. Which reminds me I should go back up.

Just an update, this should be happening within a week, currently setting up the exact date. If the site disappears for up to 72 hours it is because the new dns information hasn't propagated. I'll also most likely shut the board down prior so we don't end up with posts in different places.

Huh?? You mean the server move from last April didn't happen?

Nope, something about hardware showing up wrong and needing to send it back, so we got pushed way back in line since space for new people comes first. But the transfer happened this morning and if you are reading this then you are correctly pointed at the new server.
