Private messages
If your account was imported you will need to go under "user CP" > "edit options" to turn on your private messages.
If you are not able to figure this out, admins will do it per request but as far as I can see there is not an option to turn on everyone at once.

I think I figured out how to do this for most people automatically. Most people should now have enable pm now turned on. Although you should double check.
Everybody has PM turned on now.
