Rift

Been a while, friends. Last I chatted with you all was when we at Hel Maor tried to merge with you in Aion but due to server events, we played on another server.

Wanted to stop by to see if any of you plan to try Rift. I'm more interested in GW II, but that's no less than a year away. Rift looks like it could be a solid game for a while. How many here plan to try it?

I think it's probably tied for 3rd with TERA for MMOs of 2011 that I'm looking forward to. It has the benefit of (probably) coming out first by a good margin, though.

I'm hoping to be able to get a feel for it in the beta tests coming soon.

Had a chance to play this weekend, it was decent the first 10 levels I was able to do. The PvE with the random public quest portion seemed to be pretty solid. The class structure has me the most intrigued with the four archetypes and being able to spec into three of the classes in the archetype. Didn't get to do any PvP or see any of the world faction PvP. My initial impression is cross between Warhammer and Aion with a stronger Aion feeling in terms of PvE.

I also played Rift this weekend. It was fun to play only had a little lag. Played a Blade to 15 had a lot of resting to get health back. I also played a Sentalnal Cleric. He was a non-stop killer moved a lot faster in leveling to 15 at least. The rifts where a lot of fun and great exp. They have a death run back ( all time sink ). No chance to try out PvP next time. Overall had a good time.

I never really followed the game much. Sounds like it might be interesting. If my fellow mids have good feelings how can i not try it out. Thanks for the heads up .

Well i've been reading up on the game and i must say it does sound interesting. I think i may try it out when it releases. The Class system is kind of different as in having lots of spec lines, could be interesting to see how it plays out. I read up some on GW not sure if i'll play it. Still burned out on the asian version of MMO's after Aion. We'll have to see, just so freekin bored atm. Thinking of trying Oblivion for a few to pass time, a friend of mine been trying to get to play.
