Default Speaking of Old School DAoC guilds...

Does anyone remember the name of the Hib guild on Percival who used to kick everyone's @ss out on the frontier? I remember a bladedancer named Vega was in it, and anytime I saw him I knew I was seconds away from getting mezzed and luri bombed. It's been five years and I'm still rez sick.

Wonder if we'll see some of those guys again...

Wasn't he in Palodox? Not 100 percent sure about the older Perc guilds since I mostly played on Nimue

    Slaight, do me a favor.

Give me a pronunciation of the guild name. I remember debating it with a roommate before.

if its Gaelic based it probably sounds NOTHING remotely like its spelled. I speak/understand 5 languages and thought hey, it would be cool to learn Gaelic...and bought some tapes. I listened to them once in the car and that was it...holy moly...Rasha still teases me mercilessly about when I'm going to learn Gaelic. My guess is it won't happen before no one makes cassette players anymore.

Learning a new alphabet to learn Russian was a lot easier.

I've looked into Gaelic pronunciation in the past, though never actually learned the language.

    For Irish Gaelic,

    Sahl-us Keeair-call

The "ah" is a short "o", like in "mock". The "ee" is very short, like some people put between the T and U in "tune". The R in Keeair is rolled.

Now, this is based on limited understanding and a little research, so it's possible I'm off. I think it's very close, though, if so.
