On the front page, with the forum listing, I've been having trouble telling which forums have new messages and which do not. Before, the old icons had almost the same color either way. With the current changes, I see icons with quote marks, and the look the same whether there is a new message or not.
Changed the image to one with more color now. <Goes to quickly hit post so he can see how well the color works>
Edit: It works better, color could be better but I'll take more time to mess around later, but this should make it easier to tell the difference.
We must not be seeing the same thing, somehow. I don't see anything on the front page to distinguish a forum with new messages. Worse, now when I go to a forum page with new messages, I don't see an icon that says "new" anymore.
I'll look at getting a "New" image on the topic line and see how much work will need to go into that.

EDIT: I added the old new button to the same spot it was previously.
Ah, I see... it now thinks ALL of the messages are new for me! Hopefully everything will look good once I fix that.
Now I am scared and slightly confused by this new and modern look.
