/em <message> allows a custom message to be sent to the emote channel (your character name will be the first word in the emote followed by your message)

Note: This is not a complete list. Emotes can be used with or without another player targetted, and the message will change accordingly.

    Ranks
    Alliance Leader: kick/invite/promote/demote/aos/as
    Alliance Officer: invite/promote/demote/aos/as
    Alliance Member: read/write in as
Alliance Initiate: read as, but no typing (shuts up the new players -- or the ones with colorful post-RVR death language (like me))

    General
/friend <player name> adds the named player to your friends list
/assist <target> allows you to target another player's target
/follow <target> allows you to follow the targeted player
/bug <message> submits an ingame bug report
/respec resets every trained ability, tactic, and morale as if you were level one and had never talked to a trainer before
    /refund XXXXXX (Actions|morale|Tactics|Spec)
/stuck transports a stuck charcter to the nearest respawn location
/help brings up a list of all slash commands (not true)
    /aid it's /assist for getting defensive target
the - on the Numpad for taking screenshots.
    /gc apromote <player name> - Promotes the player's alliance rank
    /gc ademote <player name> - Demotes the player's alliance rank
/gc invite <name> invites named individual /targeted individual

Shift - to take high rez screenshots.

Note: This is not a complete list.

    Warbands
    /wbc convert 1 - /warbandconvert1 (open) /warbandconvert 0 (private)
    /w - /wb <text> for warband chat
    /warband move <name> <#> - /warbandmove <name> <#>
    /warband swap <name> <name> - /warbandswap <name> <name>
    /warband promote <name> - /warbandpromote <name>
    /warband demote <name> - /warbanddemote <name>
    /warband makeleader <name> - /warbandmakeleader <name>
    /warbandban <name> (bans that jerk!)
/warbandunban <name> (lets him back in once he's cooled off)
    /warbandpassword <word> (creates password-only joining)
    /join <leader> <word> (allows entry to PW protected W
    /warbandpassword (cancels PW)
/disband still works but /leave is fewer letters and does the same thing

This is not a comprehensive list; you can find that by typing /help in the game.

On the /commands, is there a reason for the "*"? Like /plot* what does that mean?

    Just curious is all.

I'm not sure what that means. I reposted the info from somewhere else as I was perusing.

I believe the *'s mean that it's not available to all classes. My Witch Elf can do the /katadance but my Rune Priest did not have it.
