Greetings all. Haven't played DAoC in ages, some of you may remember me as Hrothvar (also had many alts... Xanxuul, Htorgrim, and quite a few others ), but I wasn't on all that much. I was Kazzorak's brother and pretty much lost interest in the game after his death (prior to it I spent most my time as an Albion on Guinevere as I had a guild there - Ravenshield Legion led by Mercer Ravenshield), but I'm also a good friend of Athelstaine's....

Anyhoo, I definitely plan on playing WAR when it comes out and figured I'd get back into a community I knew so I'd quite possibly find a guild to call home (I am mainly interested in Greenskins, but will likely play a little of everything, such is my curse! ).

As I was viewing all the information I could access (having not received a beta invite yet) on WAR, I watched a Q&A on Warhammer Alliance about the RvR Scenarios and one question bothered me: the spoke of the impact of cross-server BGs on the war effort and said - in example - if you had 3 people from your server in a 12v12 BG and you won, you'd take 3/12ths of the reward back to your realm and said there'd be no real penalty if you lost (apart from not bringing points back) if none from your server were on the opposing side. I've searched everywhere for a means to send feedback to Mythic on this topic and have come up empty-handed, so I figured I'd pass my suggestion along in hopes any who ARE (or get into) Beta can send this feedback...

Instead of doing 3/12 they should do it as 3/24 (counting population on BOTH sides of the BG from the same server). The reason for this is to prevent people from just throwing matches if there is no one from their server on the opposing team. I'll give a more in-depth example: Let's say 4 members of Server A are playing Order in a BG, from Server B there are 8 members on Order and 2 on Chaos, and from Server C there are 10 on Chaos.... with their current system, if Order starts winning, there's no real incentive for Server C to continue to struggle against them instead of just abandoning the BG, because they lose nothing, but Server B will carry 2/3rds of the points back (which hurts the two remaining Chaos members since they were from Server ... with my suggestion, if Server C decided to cut and run, then 5/12ths of the points will be carried back to their server and awarded to Order there in the war effort, so it would hurt them in the long run to just give up, giving them incentive to keep fighting... and Server B would only carry 5/12ths of the points back (instead of 2/3rds) on a victory. Server A would get 1/6th of the points (instead of 1/3rd) since only four of the entire 24 players were from their server. This gives more incentive to bring more members of your server along to BGs (rallying more people for a war effort) so you provide more points toward your own war effort and also provides a penalty for failure in a BG, to ensure people don't just cut and run if things start looking tough.

Well, that's my suggestion, and I plan on submitting it on other forums as well as submitting it myself when my beta invite comes through

Hope to see all of you in the WAAAAGH!!!

Hey! I'm going to start lurking now, and hope to get the old crew together (although I think I'll have less headaches if I join someone elses guild this time around!) Good to see ya here! Count me in following some good leader around once WAR breaks out
